Project 5 -

Beyond The Pitch Special

Project Five engaged at-risk youth through a football tournament, 1-1 mentorship, and gang awareness education. Held at Somers Town Sports Centre, 28 participants competed in football sessions with professional coaching and mentoring, followed by gang awareness quizzes and discussions. After sessions, participants shared pizza and desserts, fostering unity. A WhatsApp group kept the youth connected and engaged beyond the sessions, while bowling sessions offered a relaxed space for personal conversations, building confidence. Staff feedback showed success in building trust and confidence. The project also included journal activities for self-reflection. With a larger budget, the focus would be on expanding mentorship, offering professional development, and providing long-term support.
